Introduction into civil objects

After successfully importing reference images and KML file, creating the terrain* and determining project settings, we can create civil and topographical objects that should be in our project.

After successfully importing reference images and KML file, creating the terrain* and determining project settings we can create civil and topographical objects that should be in our project.

Virto.CAD will calculate civil object parameters to add them to BOM report.

Your starting image should look like the example on the right*.

Topographical features/terrain is imported into the .dwg but, as mentioned before, we turned it off to ease the workflow.

  1. In AutoCAD click on VirtuoSolar ribbon
  2. On the String Mapping section there is the Cable&Civil option. – click it
  3. This will open Cable&Civil ribbon with the Civil Works section where you can find different options for creating objects on your drawing – we will consider them in this tutorial.
