Edit module layout

Learn how to edit your module layout in a ground mount project.

For editing the module layout of your project we have some options. These options will be explained here.

    1) Copy

You can copy and paste racks wherever on the project. Just select the copy function in the “Edit Module Layout” section, now select the rack and press enter. Specify the base point and the desired location of placement.

    2) Copy grid

The copy grid works similar to the copy function. The difference is that with this function the copied rack will snap to the other racks. That way you can make sure that you keep the same row pitch and distances as were used for the other racks.

    3) Move

You can also move racks wherever on the project. Select the move function in the “Edit Module Layout” section. Now select the rack you want to move, specify a base point and the desired location for placement.

    4) Move grid

Move grid works similar to the “move” option with the main difference being that the moved rack will snap to other racks to maintain the right row pitch.

    5) Replace

The replace option can be used to replace some racks in the project with a different rack.

Simply select the replace option in the “Edit Module Layout” section. Now select the racks you want to replace and press enter.

This will open a popup where you can select the rack you want to replace them with and press ok. The existing racks will be replaced by the new one in the same position.

    6) Replace grid

Replace grid can be used to replace all of the racks in one or multiple layout boundaries.

Select the replace grid option in the “Edit Module Layout” section. A popup will appear where you need to select the boundaries in which you want to replace the racks.

On the bottom you can view the racks that are currently being used in the project. Here you can specify which new rack should replace current types. Press ok to finalize.

    7) Delete

If you wish to delete certain racks on the project you just select the delete option in the “Edit Module Layout” section. Now select the racks that should be deleted and press enter.
