After performing cable routing and cable calculations you are now able to generate 3D trays for your rooftop project. This process starts by locating the "generate cable trays option". When pressed a new window appears.
In this window you can specify the kind of setup you wish to use for your project. The first option is to combine plus and minus polarities in one tray or keep them in seperate trays.
The second option lets you specify when a change in tray size should be made:
- Within field: It will change to a bigger tray size when the amount of cables is going to pass limit for that tray.
- Per field: It will detect if a new tray size is needed for the next section/field of modules and change at the start of this section/field.
- Per length: It will check for every continuous line of trays (without bends) which is the biggest required size and that size will be used for that whole section
On the bottom of the window you can really customize the trays and add new ones to mimic the sizes from your own supplier. You must then also specify the maximum amount of cables that fit in such trays. This does of course also depend on the cross section of the used cables.
When all of these settings have been entered the calculate option can be pressed and your trays will be generated on your drawing.
The amount of trays needed can now also be found in the bill of materials.
