IT admin - unattended install

Unattended install

The installers are InnoSetup installers with:
AutoCAD AppId: {A939D9E4-C11B-49FD-A3C1-2C9D6228FE0B}
BricsCAD AppId: {92D616EE-2C0E-4072-97F8-2FD524915DCE}

Install

Unattended install with accepting of our EULA and privacy policy can use:
setup.exe /ACCEPTEULA=1 /ACCEPTPRIVACY=1 /SILENT /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES /NORESTART /LOG="C:\path_to_output.log"
/SILENT when installer can be visible to the user, /VERYSILENT when the installer window may not show.
Other installer options can be found with setup.exe /?, but we don’t support changing install location and don’t use many InnoSetup features that would need more arguments.
The installer returns immediately and spawns another process.
Use a registry key like DisplayVersion at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\_is1 to check for completion.

Uninstall

Uninstall command can be found at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\_is1\QuietUninstallString
This key includes the path of the uninstaller with a /SILENT argument, but can also be called with /VERYSILENT the same way as the installer.
This uninstaller also returns immediately and spawns another process.

Intune

It is advised to use IntuneWinAppUtil with a PowerShell script to launch the installer/uninstaller with the needed arguments and check the relevant registry keys for completion.
Or use a wrapper that works for InnoSetup installers.
