Learn more about PVsyst Export in Virto.CAD
When you are prepared to export your project to PVsyst, navigate to the Result panel in the VirtoCAD ribbon and select the PVsyst export option.
A new pop-up window will open and you will be able to:
- Specify the location for the output file by clicking on the 3 dots icon to the right:
You will be invited to place a name for your new file. - Select the specific exports you wish to do:
- Export 3D ground mesh as additional .CSV file:
A file with the .csv extension will be generated, which will include the detailed mesh data of your project.
- Export 3D shading objects:
A file with the .pvc extension will be generated, which will encompass the complete 3D representation of your project. The modules will be grouped in tables.
- Export rooftop modules individually:
A .pvc file will be generated, which will include the individual 3D layouts of the rooftop modules.
3. Select boundaries for which you wish to do the export for and press Start.
Once you click the Start button, your files will be generated and ready for use. You can then open the PVsyst software, access your project, and select the Near Shadings option along with the Construction / Perspective setting as follows:
To import the 3D shading objects click on File, in the drop down choose Import and then Import 3D Scene. Finally look for the .PVC file and modify Scene details as preferred.
To import 3D ground-mesh click on File, in the drop down choose Import and then Import ground data. Finally look for the .CSV file and modify Ground details as preferred.
The export feature is also applicable to rooftops, allowing you to include the module layout and the entire rooftop building, along with any obstacles and devices present.
