PVsyst Export
Learn how to export your projects to PVsyst.
When you are ready to export your project to PVsyst in a PVC file go to the “Extra” section of your VirtoCAD ribbon and click on the “PVsyst PVC Export” feature.
The following pop-up window will open where you will be able to:
- Specify the location for the output file by clicking on the 3 dots icon to the right.
- Select the specific exports you wish to do: Export 3D ground mesh as additional .CSV file, Export 3D shading objects, Export rooftop modules individually.
- Select boundaries for which you wish to do the export for.
After clicking on the “Start” button to export the files you can open your PVsyst software app, open your project, choose “Near Shadings” variant and “Construction / Perspective” as follows:
To import 3D shading objects click on “File”, in the drop down choose “Import” and then “Import 3D Scene”. Finally look for the .PVC file and modify Scene details as preferred.
To import 3D ground-mesh click on “File”, in the drop down choose “Import” and then “Import ground data”. Finally look for the .CSV file and modify Ground details as preferred.
The export works on rooftops as well by exporting the modules and the rooftop including all obstacles and devices.
