Place panels on a sloped roof

Learn how to place panels on a sloped roof in Virto.MAX.

Follow the steps below to place panels on a sloped roof.

Module selection

First select the slope on which you want start placement. After this a panel on the left will open where you can start selecting the module by filtering on things like brand or power.

 You can also add a module if you don’t find the one you need by setting the name and type of module as well as the power and module dimensions.

Mounting system

You can select your mounting system of choice by using the filter option and choosing a manufacturer or module orientation.

You can also add a system when it’s not available in our list. The parameters required for this are the name, orientation and spacing between the modules. Additionally you can select the dilatation option to automatically create fields of a certain size with gaps in between (dilatations).

Placing the modules

For the actual placement of the modules there are 2 options.

  • Auto fill: This option allows you to press it once to fill in all available space on the selected roof surface.

  • Free size: This option will let you choose the insertion point for a module and then drag the mouse to shape an entire field
