We will explore the steps necessary to fully transform your previous 2D or 3D projects into the Virto.CAD 3D modules.
The Rebuild feature allows you to seamlessly transition your existing 2D photovoltaic (PV) designs into the 3D environment of Virto.CAD. Additionally, this feature enables you to modify previously completed 3D projects in or outside Virto.CAD, accommodating changes to racks or modules as needed.
Before you begin the rebuild process, ensure that you have set up the desired rack(s) for your design using the Rack Configurator feature. More info on creating racks can be found here
2D to 3D Rebuild
To initiate the rebuild process, open the Rebuild feature. A new window will appear, allowing you to select the 2D racks you want to convert into 3D racks in the Current Rack Type section, as well as the previously designed rack that will serve as your replacement in the New Rack Type section. Make sure to choose the appropriate Build Parameters that align with your project requirements, then click on the Build button to proceed.
3D to 3D Rebuild
To start the rebuild process, access the Rebuild feature. This will open a new window where you can select the 3D rack you wish to replace in the Current Rack Type section. In the New Rack Type section, choose the new racks that will take the place of the existing ones. Be sure to select the appropriate Build Parameters that meet your project specifications, and then click the Build button to continue.
